Rhonda Gheen P.O. Box 946 Joseph, OR 97846 Rhonda Gheen lives and works in a mountain cabin in northeastern Oregon. She began selling her one- of-a-kind sculptures as her full-time career in 1978. Prior to that, she received a BA in Art/Geology. She has also earned a certificate for the study of colored gemstones from the Gemological Institute of America. Ms. Gheen's main emphasis has been fantasy, totem, and mythical animals and dinosaurs, themes she has loved since childhood. The pieces are individually hand-modeled and sculpted from stoneware clay. The colors are stoneware glazes and 22K gold luster glaze fired in a kiln for a permanent finish. The precious and semi-precious stones are set after the last firing. She has shown her work mainly through galleries and science fiction conventions since 1980. Her work has won numerous awards and the hearts of collectors from coast to coast.
